Course Day 2, usual . met rim and syafiq, headed to cityhall . walked there first, was walking up the stairs, i also like to walk up hardly so got sound, instructor azman stood there and said, i know it was you . so small yet so loud, lol . started off with a simple game, very cute luh the game . and the dude just hadda say, i know one person will know how to say hi in singapore, ...... diana . first reaction, HUH . everyone laugh, thanks . so we did all those greetings thing, very very cute . esp when you do it with the primary sch kids, sarah &wei guang . so after that, umm . we went down to finalise our games and all, then after that . we played nay chi's keypunch, and they played our boat game . so somehow, we correct each other and stuffs, modify the thing and all, so that everything will run smoothly when we try it for the other two groups . went up, had our brunch, mee ! better than yesterday.
then like azman told us we only got 20mins for both games, everyone panicked, sherman told us to like plan . so everyone calm down, planned and all, 10mins for each game . then we hadda play the primary sch kids game, they planned and all . they intro-ed the game very well, so like 2 people had to be blindfolded, then they will tell us a story . the rest of the group members have to draw the story, cut in 7 pieces . so nay chi and i were blindfolded, then after they cut . we hadda compete against another group, so we have to take the cut pieces, one at each time . then go to the wall, with our group members instructions, paste the piece we are holding, then form back into the orginal picture that the group drew . hard for me and nay chi cos the other group were very loud, very confusing . but we did it well, blindfolded but could paste the picture, awesomee ! yay for us ! so cute uh the story and game, good job guys !
then we proceeded to the chao da raffles, to play rimsha's group game . which is called, sth loop ? forgot, its like a mahjong paper, filled with holes around it . and our job is to move this ball from one side of the paper to the other, without it dropping into the holes, managed . 2 balls, also can . 3 balls, start only. drop already, aiyerrr.
then they hadda play our game, i was in the boat game group . so started off with rimsha group playing our game, they figured it out , cool . primary sch kids, very the cute . esp marvin ! he kept making jokes and all, they din manage to do it, cos it's really a thinking kinda game uh . but i think we got our message across to them, thats the main purpose . then headed back for group briefing, then we hadda go buy lunch ourself . each person given 3 dollars . everyone went some place, then later all separate .
nay chi and i combined our money and bought nasi briyani , went back . shared and eat, azman kept hinting on our papadum, and then our chicken, haha ! bully uhh . then it was the sch showdown thing, hadda plan . planned with orchid park, like kinda . so we sat in our own schools and discuss, did come out with stuffs and all, and i enjoy . cos kinda more comfortable throwing ideas to them instead with my group, cos dont know them well . so jyeah . long long talk, esp hwa chong . hiyo ! ours , i think we applied the KISS format, so thats good . and i think i wanna go MI after their presentation, hmm . then we got back to our groups, final debrief .
sherman told each of us about ourselves, he said i was um . very likeable to everyone, have alot of ideas but dont voice it out but yet do it secretly , and make things a sucess, also i keep things short and simple, and i need to voice out more . hah, everytime he ask me something, i'll only say 1 line. like i just wanna get straight to my point uh, so i think . sherman really spotted out our strenghts and weaknesses and everyone can work on it . then final, we had like this star thingy, he put everything on the table, each person have to take 1, give it to someone and say why . i gave it to nay chi, she gave it to me . why i gave to her was because, i really look up to her . salute, she's really confident in herself, she throws in idea even when they might not be the best, she voices out often and i'm really kinda motivated to be as confident as her . she gave to me because she wanted to tell everyone that i'm the quiet kind of leader, who's responsible but dare not voice out just because i dont have any post in the prefectorial board . as she said, she heard me talking to my schoolmates, and my ideas were good, but i just stand back because i din wanna go against my head prefect, cos i dont have post and all that . so she wanted me to have more confidence and really voice out everything, she said . no post doesnt mean you have to always be the follower, you can lead even the higher post people .
and i wanna thank sherman and nay chi alot, cos like really . they encourage me uh . so after everything, final debrief for everyone, azman asked who wanted to answer, sherman and nay chi were both looking at me, cos they wanted me to be brave and share my thoughts, so yes . i was kinda, f f omg kinda thing, nay chi just shouted, diana has something to say . *screams* so shared my thought, and when ren kai was speaking . sherman kept looking and me and raising his eyebrows, like cos ren kai said . maybe people have better idea, and he should listen to it . and he was looking at me, felt guilty, sherman made me laugh cos he kept smiling and raising his brows telling me listen to ren kai . LOL !
Anyways, i really enjoyed all this uh . like wanna thank instructor sherman, nay chi, faisal, jahafar, afiq, kein hui . you all really helped me alot in all this, thanks for all the motivational encouragement, and as promised from the first days . we met as strangers and live as friends . (: no regrets, ultra fun . learnt alot of things about how to go about leading, and leading doesnt involve one person . three cheers for YLN !
